今天上課是延續上次的課程內容，一上課教授一樣提醒我們要準備上課的講義，雖然這次他並沒有檢查，但是準備上課要用的講義是學生基本的義務，所以應該要做到。這次課程一樣是介紹MARC，不過介紹得更詳細。課程內容是以美國國會圖書館網站上的資料作為講述。這次的課程讓我更加了解MARC的意義及用途，之前的課堂上雖然一直有提到，但是我並不是很了解，今天的課程讓我學習到很多。

 今天上課我帶著我的筆電緊張的去上課，因為我怕今天有課前小考，所以我一進教室就趕快打開電腦，確認上課的講義有準備好，不過今天教授並沒有要考試，讓我鬆了一口氣。上課一開始，教授就檢查我們是否有帶今天上課要用的五個講義，我發現我少了一個，趕緊從網站上下載下來，所以下次我要在上課前就要檢查需要的講義有哪些，才不會漏掉。

  今天是上「MARC的結構」這篇講義，上次有大概講解了一些，這次教授更詳細的介紹。

上課筆記：

 

機讀編目格式分為以下四種：

1. 磁帶格式(ISO2709)

2. 驗證單格式

3. 卡片格式(ISBD)

4. 條列格式

輔仁大學圖書館顯示的是條列單格式和驗證單格式。

 

機讀編目格式源起於1966年，美國國會圖書館製作

現在我們熟知的MARC是MARC II，現在的 USMARC 就是以此為基準。

之後英國也研究出機讀編目格式，到了1995年，至少有60個國家的國家圖書館發行該國的磁帶機讀編目格式，一半採用USMARC 格式，四分之一採用 UNIMARC 格式, 其它的四分之一採用 UK MARC、MAB、InterMARC等格式。

 

我國的中國機讀編目格式

1980年出版中文圖書機讀編目格式第一版，以UNIMARC 格式為底稿，但是第一版做得並不好，所以在修正後，同年就出版第二版。

1981年出版中國機讀編目格式，1984年出版第二版，主要採納UNIMARC Handbook的部分內容，但其實還是沒有依照UNIMARC Handbook的內容，可見國際間的溝通需再加強。

 

全國圖書資訊網站，其書目紀錄量大約是最完整的，但仍未具體的容納各合作館

的書目紀錄。(台灣是公開的網站，但是中國需要密碼。)

 

iso 全名是 information and documentation - format for information exchange

(最新的版本是2008年)，其用途是交換資料。

磁帶格式(ISO2709)，沒有分行，一個位元組接著另一個位元組，中文字占兩個位元組。每個位元組都有特定的意義。

在ISO2709的格式裡，每筆書目紀錄的內容可分為四部分：

1. 記錄標示, 最前面的24個位元組。
2. 指引, 每個指引以12個位元組構成, 可以有無數個指引。
3. 書目資料欄
4. 記錄終止符號

今天一樣在上課前有一個測驗，我本來以為上次的測驗只是臨時的測驗，應該會再過一陣子才會再有一次，沒想到今天也有，我才知道以後的上課前可能都有測驗，應該是教授希望藉由測驗讓我們更了解上課的內容，也讓我們養成課後複習的習慣，這樣不但讓我們知道上課的重點在哪裡，也不會到了考前才在苦惱哪些地方會考。這次測驗的內容是ISBD2010版本的內容，題目如下：

第一題是教授上課提到的ISBD Review Group 的中國籍委員顧犇，

第二題是2010年ISBD 適用的資源，

第三題是2010年ISBD 的目標，

第四題是何謂正提名，

第五題是何謂著者敘述，

這些題目在上次的課堂中都有上到，所以一定要在課後複習，才會在測驗時順利的答題，這次我的準備不足，所以在測驗時手忙腳亂，這是我下次要改進的地方。

1.3. A MARC 21 format is a set of codes and content designators defined for encoding machine-readable records. Formats are defined for five types of data: bibliographic, holdings, authority, classification, and community information.

1.3.1. MARC 21 Format for Bibliographic Data contains format specifications for encoding data elements needed to describe, retrieve, and control various forms of bibliographic material. The MARC 21 Format for Bibliographic Data is an integrated format defined for the identification and description of different forms of bibliographic material. MARC 21 specifications are defined for books, serials, computer files, maps, music, visual materials, and mixed material. With the full integration of the previously discrete bibliographic formats, consistent definition and usage are maintained for different forms of material.

1.3.2. MARC 21 Format for Holdings Data contains format specifications for encoding data elements pertinent to holdings and location data for all forms of material.

1.3.3. MARC 21 Format for Authority Data contains format specifications for encoding data elements that identify or control the content and content designation of those portions of a bibliographic record that may be subject to authority control.

1.3.4. MARC 21 Format for Classification Data contains format specifications for encoding data elements related to classification numbers and the captions associated with them. Classification records are used for the maintenance and development of classification schemes.

1.3.5. MARC 21 Format for Community Information provides format specifications for records containing information about events, programs, services, etc. so that this information can be integrated into the same public access catalogs as data in other record types.

心得:

 

今天一上課，教授就開是在發紙，當時我並沒有看清楚再發什麼紙，我想說應該是在發上課要用的講義或是補充資料，但是感覺教授在發的紙張有點像考試用紙，但是我想說應該是要叫我們要抄東西，沒想到我心中默默祈禱不要發生的事情還是發生了，今天竟然在無預警的情況下考試，我一聽到要考試原本有點想睡覺的感覺完全消失。這次考試內容就是上次教授上課的內容，總共考了兩題，一題是考國際書目著錄標準的目的，另一題則是ISBD修訂委員會在1980年代時的目標，我雖然有印象上次課堂上教授有教到這個部分，但是我沒有背起來，所以我趕緊拿出手機上網到上次教授上課用的那個網站，一找到答案就拼命的寫上去，雖然可以上網，但是我很怕我沒辦法在時間內寫完，還好我有在教授指定的時間內寫完，真是驚險的一個早晨，但是這次的考試告訴我一個教訓，就是教授上的講義要準備好，要印好或要準備電腦，但是電腦的資料應該要分在隨身碟或電腦裡，而不是從網路上讀取講義，像是這一次考試因為大家都上網，所以網路跑很慢，我也是等了一陣子才會出現網路。

今天是考完期中考後的第一次上課，意謂著今天是發下考卷的日子，這是我大學的第一份考卷，前幾堂課的老師都沒有發下考卷，我也不知道我的分數，所以資訊組織是我人生中第一個大學分數，抱著忐忑不安的心情等待考卷的發下。我拿到時，其實沒有太驚訝，因為有聽學姊說分數並不會像高中一樣那麼好看，還好我有聽到學姊的提醒，要不然我可能會嚇呆了，因為從來沒拿過那麼低分，而且是期中考，不過大家的分數都不會相差太多我就沒那麼擔心了，不過教授有特別說到他的計分標準，像是整題只得一分的就是沒有再看書，得到兩分的就有唸書但沒有懂，得到五分的就是答案是正確的，而得到十分的就是非常厲害，教授希望我們了解分數代表的意義而不是著重於分數。教授也和我們說明了幾題期中考題目中的重點，像是在中國編目規則第三版第一章裡所說明的名稱有些會和各章所用的名稱不同，這時應使用各章的名稱而不是第一章的名稱，還有中國編目規則有些地方是錯誤的，像是第二層著錄所舉例的是副題名寫在並列提名前面，但是應該是先並列題名在副題名，這一個地方我就寫錯了。還有第七題的ISBN，雖然我寫的並不算錯，但是沒有再深入的思考這個問題，這題有可能不是少最後一位數，有可能是缺少其中的一位數。

之後教授還向我們介紹了ISBD國際書目著錄標準，起源於1969年，而在1971年出現，教授介紹的版本是2004年的，現在最新的版本則是2011年的。這個著錄標準和AACR2一樣總共有八個細目，但是不同的是，它不行拿來編目，這個國際書目著錄標準是用來規範的。

今天上課教的是中國編目規則第三版和AACR2的著入來源，教授一樣叫我們先看中國編目規則第三版的著入來源，在總則的著入來源有說明每一章首都會列出其著入來源，若非自指定著入來源者，要加上方括弧。之後我們就翻到第二章圖書，在首頁就看到著入來源和指定著入來源，圖書的著入來源為書名頁，而下面指定著入來源則是標示各項的規定著入來源，在AACR2也看到有標示。在這節課裡，我們也有教到著入層次，有分第一、第二、第三著入層次，第一是簡略著入，第二是標準著入，第三則是詳細著入。

今天的作業是延續上次在電腦教室的上課內容，上次的作業是要我們找出自己的教科書進行編目，用的是中國編目規則第三版，我總共編了六本教科書，今天也是要進行編目，但是用的是英美編目規則來編，原本我以為只是簡單地找出和中國編目規則相對應的細項交換就好，也就是把中文的細項翻譯成英文，但是上課的過程中才發現，其實並沒有想像的那麼簡單，有些細項需要變更成符合英美編目規則，並不是都和中國編目規則一樣，像是出版地的寫法就不相同，中國編目規則把地名由大排到小，而英美編目規則是先寫出較小的地名。而且在上課的過程中不只發現兩個編目規則的不同外，也發現上次的作業我有些地方觀念是錯誤的，在課程中老師也有請同學來幫忙檢查並教導，讓我們知道哪裡是錯誤的，給予更正。
